The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA will be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed in regards to the superior number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The service stage created for intervention experiences a high inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to allow the servicing of all customers and maximize use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
